The 32nd death anniversary of Mar Sebastian Mankuzhikary, the first bishop of the Thamarassery Diocese, was commemorated with solemn remembrance services at the Cathedral Church of the diocese on Thursday.

The memorial service, held at 11:00 a.m., was led by Mar Remigiose Inchananiyil. Concelebrants included Diocesan Vicar General Monsignor Abraham Vayalil and Diocesan Procurator Fr. Benny Mundanattu.

During his homily, Bishop Remigiose paid tribute to the late Bishop Mankuzhikary, recalling his visionary leadership and the significant growth experienced by the diocese during its formative years under his guidance. He also reflected on the enduring legacy of the pioneering bishop and his contribution to the spiritual and institutional development of the diocese.

A large number of faithful participated in the memorial observances, offering prayers in remembrance of the late bishop.

The commemorative services were coordinated under the leadership of Diocesan Chancellor Fr. Sebastian Kavalakkattu, Cathedral Vicar Fr. Thomas Chilampikkunnel, Assistant Vicar Fr. John Konukunnel, and Pastoral Council Secretary Benny Lukose.
