A free mental health helpline titled HOPE LINE (0495 352 3636) has been launched by Pope John Paul Institute, the mental health centre under the Diocese of Thamarassery, to support individuals experiencing psychological stress and emotional crises. The service was inaugurated by Bishop Mar Remigiose Inchananiyil.

Highlighting the increasing prevalence of suicidal tendencies in society, the Bishop emphasized that HOPE LINE aims to provide timely support and comfort to individuals struggling with mental health challenges.

The launch event was addressed by Rev. Dr. Kurian Puramadam, Director of the Institute, Chevayur SI Elias, Fr. Roy Thekkumkattil and Fr. Joji.

Individuals dealing with stress, anxiety, sorrow, or other mental health issues can contact the helpline to receive free professional counselling from expert counsellors.
