As part of the Ruby Jubilee celebrations of the Diocese of Thamarassery, the Syro-Malabar Mathruvedhi Diocesan Committee organized a spirited tug-of-war competition for its members. The event, held at Alphonsa College, Thiruvambady, saw enthusiastic participation from various parishes.

Nooramthode Parish emerged as the champions, securing the first place in the contest. Kodanchery Parish claimed second place, while Vettilappara Parish took third position. Devagiri Parish earned the fourth spot in the tightly contested event, adding to the celebratory spirit of the jubilee year.
