Fr Geo Mathew Puthusseriputhenpura, a diocesan priest of the Thamarassery Diocese and IQAC Coordinator of Alphonsa College, Thiruvambady, has been awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) by Christ University, Bangalore. His research was titled “Issues of Reforms, Resistances and Movements among the Adivasis of Wayanad.”

He is the son of Mathai and Valsamma of Pushpagiri Parish. Fr Geo was ordained to the priesthood in 2009. He has served as Assistant Vicar in the parishes of Thottumukkam, Kodanchery, and Paroppady, and as Vicar in the Manjakunnu and Karimbu parishes. He is currently serving as the Vicar of Valiyakolly parish.
