A ten-day clergy seminar held at Mount St. Thomas, Kakkanad, from June 9 to 19, was inaugurated by His Beatitude Mar Raphael Thattil, Major Archbishop of the Syro-Malabar Church.

In his inaugural address, the Major Archbishop emphasized the essential role of ongoing formation in enhancing the pastoral mission of the Church and nurturing the spiritual depth of priests. He also underlined the importance of developing strong human values as a cornerstone of effective priestly ministry.

Priests from various dioceses participated in the seminar. Representing the Diocese of Thamarassery were Fr Joseph Panthaladickal and Fr Joseph Chirathalackal.

The seminar aimed at equipping clergy with renewed spiritual insight and pastoral effectiveness, fostering a deeper commitment to their vocation and ministry.
