Kerala’s victory at the 72nd Senior National Volleyball Championship in Varanasi has become a proud moment for Kannoth Parish as well. Kerala secured its sixth consecutive national title after defeating Indian Railways in a thrilling final.

Angel Thomas, a member of Kannoth Parish, played a key role in Kerala’s championship triumph. An employee of Indian Railways, she is the daughter of Thomas and Leena Thannikunnel of Kannoth.

The high-voltage final went to five sets, with Kerala overcoming Indian Railways 3–2. Despite both teams remaining evenly matched throughout the contest, Kerala displayed greater composure in the decisive moments to seal yet another historic title.
